UniMatch ("we", "us", "our") is a university recommendation service operated by its founders, based in Pune, Maharashtra and Rajkot, Gujarat, India. We can be contacted at info@unimatch.co.in.

2. Data We Collect

When you use UniMatch, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Your name, email address, and profile picture, obtained from Google when you sign in via Google OAuth.
• Academic scores: The scores you voluntarily enter into the recommendation form — this may include IB scores, CBSE/CISCE/State Board percentages, or SAT scores.
• Usage data: The country and course preferences you select, the number of university matches returned, and the timestamp of each submission.

We do not collect payment information, precise location data, device identifiers, or any sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect solely for the following purposes:

• To provide you with personalised university recommendations based on your scores.
• To identify your account across sessions so you do not have to re-enter your information.
• To understand how the service is being used in aggregate (e.g. which boards are most common) so we can improve it.
• To respond to support or contact requests you send us.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose other than those listed above.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to UniMatch's founders. It is not publicly accessible. We take reasonable precautions to protect your data, including restricting access to authorised personnel only.

UniMatch is hosted on Render (render.com). Your data may be processed on servers located outside India. By using this service, you consent to this transfer.

We retain your data for as long as you have an active account, or until you request deletion. We do not retain data longer than necessary.

5. Third-Party Services

UniMatch uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Google OAuth — used for sign-in. Google may collect data per their Privacy Policy.
• Google Sheets — used to store submission data securely.
• Render — used to host the application.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct any inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data at any time.
• Withdraw consent by discontinuing use of the service.

7. Cookies & Sessions

UniMatch uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in while you use the service. This cookie is essential for the service to function and does not track you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies.

8. Terms of Service

By using UniMatch, you agree to the following:

• You will provide accurate academic information. Deliberately entering false scores to manipulate results is not permitted.
• You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the service.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit.
• UniMatch is provided as a free tool to assist with university research. It does not guarantee admission to any university.
• We reserve the right to suspend access to any user who misuses the service.
• We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Disclaimer

UniMatch provides university recommendations for informational purposes only. The recommendations generated are based on publicly available entry requirements and ranking data, and do not constitute official admissions advice.

University admission requirements change frequently. We make no warranty that the information in our system is current, complete, or accurate. You should always verify requirements directly with the university before applying.

UniMatch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any university listed in our results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UniMatch and its founders shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the recommendations provided by this service.
